listed phone number does not go to portage office but was able to get that number eventually. when provided with the appropriate option, phone remained connected but dead silence with no further announcements as to status of the connection.
I requested a call back, it took over an hour to call back. When my phone call was returned, I was on the line for 6 minutes listening to people talk in the background. Someone obviously picked the phone up! I'm so irritated! I'm trying to get information on changing my name, as I just got married. Now if I call back, I'll have to wait over an hour for another phone call! I can't go down there, because they closed at noon today, AND I live an hour away from the nearest office. I am not happy with the Portage, WI call center at all!
Staff were very friendly, extremely helpful. Had to spend minimal wait time. I will be back to this office when I need to sign up for medicare!!
